The
6 stages of the ZERI Educational Initiative
|
|
|
 |
|
|
STAGE
1.
The ZERI Stories.
5-8 years.
The stories which are part of this stage, at first look like fantastics
fairies, and will only become reality in dreams. But each one of
these plant the seeds of academic knowledge, emotional intelligence,
artistic expression and systems thinking.

STAGE
2.
FRoM FaiRY TaLeS To ReaLiTy. 9-12 years.
The same fantastic stories are presented with real pictures, photographs
and videos. This offers an opening of the mind, stregnthening the
4 intelligences while at the same time develop a shared intelligence
amongst the students.

STAGE
3.
WRiTe YouR oWN FaiRy TaLe. 13-14 years.
When children realize that these fairies become reality, time has
come for them to invent their own stories. The challenge before
them is to document these new stories over more than a year, so
that these can be presented in a different manner, using a language
of pattern recognition designed by the young adults themselves going
beyond the mere written presentations.

STAGE
4.
MaKiNG WaSTe WoRK. 15-16 years.
Based on the ZERI methodology and strengthened by the 4 intelligences,
the young adolescents imagine how the local industries will look
like in 20 years when they are “in charge”. The direct
contact between the students and the managemente and/or owners of
the business creates a special link between dreams and reality.

|
 |
STAGE
5.
a NeW eCoNoMY. 17 years.
If the present economic system is to respond to the basic needs
of people in the world, then it will have to evolve in co-evolution
with nature. On the basis of some 10 cases developed by ZERI, the
students identify the axioms of the new economy which they encounter
amongst these breakthrough cases.
|
|
|
STAGE
6.
21 ViRTueS. 18 years.
The students are exposed to phenomena in nature and so identify
virtues in the ecosystem. The students will identify a person in
their local community who best represents each virtue. Over the
year the students will compile a list of their heroes. As a result
of this process, the students will actually be regarded heroes themselves,
who will then be prepared to create a better future for their children,
responsing to the needs of their families. |
